Video: CQL – Not just NoSQL. It’s MoSQL

By Lynn BenderJuly 25, 2011

Back in June, Jonathan Ellis announced that CQL, an SQL-like structured query language for Cassandra , would be part of the Cassandra 0.8 release.

The community was fortunate to have Eric Evans, the primary developer of CQL, at Cassandra SF 2011 to speak on the topic. In his talk, Eric explains that CQL is an alternative to the existing API, and not (yet) a replacement. You can view the slides from Eric’s talk here.

For those of you who weren’t able to attend Cassandra SF, DataStax has provided a video of Eric’s presentation (below). You can view all presentation slides and videos from Cassandra SF here.
