Configuration¶

Like any modern server-based software, Cassandra has a number of configuration options to tune the system towards specific workloads, topologies and environments. Substantial efforts have been made to provide meaningful configurations out of the box, but given the inherently complex nature of distributed systems coupled with the wide variety of possible workloads, any serious production deployment will require modification of at least a few of these parameters.
