Advanced Functionality

OpsCenter Enterprise is able to manage, monitor, and control Hadoop MapReduce, Pig, and Hive tasks that are supported in DataStax Enterprise.

Adding nodes to a Cassandra cluster oftentimes necessitates the rebalancing of data across the cluster, which can be a difficult manual job. But with OpsCenter Enterprise, the rebalancing of a cluster when new nodes are added is an easy, point-and-click task.

OpsCenter Enterprise allows a user to define alerts that are based on statistical thresholds for key performance metrics.

OpsCenter Enterprise is able to run in an unattended fashion where notifications (e.g. email) can be sent to operations staff about situations that require their attention.

Cassandra is capable of multi-data center support, meaning a single cluster can span 1-n data centers. OpsCenter supports themonitoring of all nodes across multiple data centers so administrators and operations staff can easily diagnose and monitor their systems no matter where they are physically located
