I was incorrect before. The error getting compaction information is actually causing some of the other information to break as well. For now, restarting the agent should resolve the issue. That should be fixed in an upcoming release though.

Hi,

1. you need ordered partitioner
(http://www.datastax.com/docs/1.0/cluster_architecture/partitioning)

2. composite key and secondary index is not necessarily the same thing. Check at least chapter "Clustering, compound keys, and more" (http://www.datastax.com/dev/blog/schema-in-cassandra-1-1)

That is a problem parsing compaction information on the agent. Thank you for the bug report, we'll look more into why that is happening. Is there anything else wrong with the agent operation besides the stack trace in the logs? That bug may prevent some compactions from showing in the UI but besides that things should work normally.

Hi,

have DSC1.2 3 node cluster with 1 keyspace & one cf. Opscenter installed. Played around with virtual nodes, but as it's not supported by opscenter yet reverted to old configuration.
This is test cluster so there's no damage done.

At the same time when I reverted configs opscenter stopped working with agents correctly. No disk space stats available and exceptions in /var/log/opscenter-agent/agent.log

Any ideas to get this monster back online?

Hi, kind of newbie to Cassandra. Using Astynax here. I have a CF which are using Composite Key (id and updateDate). Try to page through all rows (in millions) to dump its content, how do I do it in Astyanax?

Coming from RDBMS world, find a lot of restriction of this Non-SQLDB. Also have some other questions:

1. is there a way to range query on row key (id)? How do I do it?
2. Is composite key better than secondary index? I just want to have range query on updateDate?

THanks.
