Ah, I missed that info in the topic. Similar schema bugs have been reported in Cassandra 1.1.2. Assuming you are hitting those same issue, upgrading to the latest release (1.1.6) should resolve the issue. The relevant cassandra issue is:

https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CASSANDRA-4432

We are facing the same issue.
It seems the only way to recover is to remove all data, which is not acceptable for production.

I was told by the Dev's that they have seen this as a Bug so i am resolving this issue for this version. We decided to remove all data and start from scratch.

Just an FYI, I tried removing all snapshots to make sure it wasn't holding any data of some sort. . also, this is what I get on the CLI when I run it: (except it never gets removed)

[default@unknown] drop keyspace name_of_keyspace;
Waiting for schema agreement...
... schemas agree across the cluster

Hello,
Our Dev's are running into issues where they cannot remove keyspaces. The only ones they cannot delete are old ones with data. If we do a test and create new keyspaces, we can remove them just fine through their code and through Opscenter as well. I tried to see if I could remove the CF's and they don't remove either. . . only truncate works on them. We have a 5 Node cluster on Redhat Enterprise 5. Ops Center 2.1.1
Is there a way to force remove the keyspaces or something because we can't seem to remove a bunch of them.
