Did you put the sstable files in the correct path?</p> <p>var/lib/cassandra/data/&lt;keyspace&gt;/&lt;column_family&gt;/</p> <p>Also, just to note, restoring a snapshot will not recreate the schema. We want to restore the data into new cassandra cluster(DSE 2.2.1). </p> <p>The steps we followed below,</p> <p>1. Took a snapshot from one of the node in existing cluster.<br /> 2. Brought up a new cluster with DSE 2.2.1<br /> 3. Just created a keyspace in the new cluster.<br /> 4. copied all the files from &lt;snapshot&gt;/&lt;timestamp&gt; to /var/lib/cassandra/data/&lt;keyspace&gt;/<br /> 5. started the cassandra service by using (dse cassandra)</p> <p>But cant retrieve the data through cassandra-cli</p> <p>We tried another option also.</p> <p>1.
