It's entirely possible to have both moderate CPU utilization and a low load average, due to how load average is calculated. Roughly, it's average number of threads or processes that are queued up waiting for CPU time. So, if you have fewer active threads/processes than the number of cores, you won't have a very high load average at all.

tupton,

Thank you for this answer. The graphs show the exact same behavior as "List view".

I checked htop too and get the same result. So it's not an OpsCenter Error. I will mark this as resolved.

But do you have any idea of why the load is 0 when my 2 processor are working between 10% and 20% ?

The load is 0.05 when my processors reach 25% and 35%.

Thanks anyways for your time.

arodrime,

If you add a graph of "OS: Load" in the Performance section for the entire cluster or just for the node or nodes that are reporting 0, is any information displayed in the graph? If not, are all your agents connected correctly and reporting data?

Hi,

I'm using an Amazon AMI of dsc with Opscenter 2.1.1 & cassandra 1.1.2.

When I go to the "List view" of my cluster in OpsCenter the cpu load displayed seems to be wrong.

It shows 0 most of the time. When I restart the opscenter-agent services, OpsCenter shows the real load value for a short time and then decrease until it reaches 0 again.

I have no warning nor error in opscenter-agents or opscenter logs.

Is that a known issue ?

Let me know if I can help you figure out what is happening.
