Hi,

I installed Brisk on Mac OS X 10.6.8 yesterday and managed to get it working against an existing install of Cassandra. I was able to run jobs on the data in Cassandra and everything was working fine. I am just trying this out on my local machine at the moment, so I am not dealing with any extra nodes. I did do a software update, but things were going wrong before that. Today I decided to reinstall Brisk in a different directory and no matter what I do when I try to do any of the following :

brisk hive
brisktool jobtracker
brisktool movejt localhost

I get :

Error when fetching jobtracker address: org.apache.thrift.TApplicationException: Invalid method name: 'get_jobtracker_address'
Unable to start job: jobtracker not found

I am running java version:

java version "1.6.0_26"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_26-b03-384-10M3425)
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 20.1-b02-384, mixed mode)

JAVA_HOME=/System/Library/Frameworks/JavaVM.framework/Home

Anyone have an idea what my problem might be? As far as I can tell I have all the config files set up the same was as I did yesterday.

Thank you,

Dan
