I've followed the step at http://www.datastax.com/docs/opscenter/agent/agent_tar and I now have the address.yaml file.

We currently are installing the OpsCenter on the same machine as Cassandra.

I'm able to see opscenter, now need to configure in the hosts.

Thank you.

We recommend installing the main opscenter daemon on its own machine. The machine does not need to be very large. We recommend 2gb ram and a 2ghz processor as minimum specs.

Should OpsCenter be installed on a separate machine from Cassandra? Or can it be installed on the same machine as one of the Cassandra nodes?

Shirley,

Are you installing the agents manually using the instructions given here? http://www.datastax.com/docs/opscenter/agent/agent_tar

If so the address.yaml file is created in step 3 of those instructions when running 'bin/setup <opsc hostname>'.

Hi. We just did an install for Opscenter 2.1. When trying to startup the opscenter-agent, getting the following error:

       -----------------------

Searching the system, there is no address.yaml file anywhere. It seems to be missing from the install.
Which part of the install should have included it? Where can I get the address.yaml file?

The only yaml files on the system after the Cassandra install are:
/home/cassandra/dse-2.1/resources/dse/conf/dse.yaml
/home/cassandra/dse-2.1/resources/cassandra/conf/cassandra.yaml

Thanks in advance for your help, Shirley
