&#60;p&#62;There is no automatic failover mechanism for OpsCenter at this time, so as you mentioned, you will need to monitor the process/machine yourself.  The good news is that the majority of OpsCenter data is stored in your actual DSE cluster and metrics are written directly to your cluster by the OpsCenter agents, so manual failover should be very straightforward.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;We do have a ticket to track the idea of automatic failover, so I've added this post to that for reference.

			<description>&#60;p&#62;Hi All,&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;  We are setting up a multi-node DSE Cassandra and great to see it going good.&#60;br /&#62;
  And we are using the REST API of OpsCenter to manage the same.&#60;br /&#62;
  I would like to know whether there is failover-mechanism currently available for Opscenter  because if the Opscenter  goes down, the entire &#34;manage&#34; functionality is in jeopardy. Or is it that we need to monitor the Opscenter for starting a backup-Opscenter.&#60;br /&#62;
  It would be great if somebody can shed light on this.&#60;/p&#62;
