Access OpCenter using HTTPS?

Hello:

I can see SSL is available for communication between agents and OpsCenter, but how can I access the OpsCenter web application via HTTPS? I have created a username and password, but that's still HTTP basic auth in the clear. Is it possible to set things up so I can access the Dashboard etc. via HTTPS?

I have an administrative instance within EC2 running OpsCenter that is talking with two DSE 2 nodes via the agents. That's all good, but I need to securely access the web interface from outside of EC2.

Jeff,

Unfortunately that feature is not available at the moment. We definitely realize it is an important feature to many people. It won't be available in the very near 2.0 release, however it should be available soon after.

Thanks NIck for letting me know where things stand.

I suppose if it becomes more of a issue for me in the interim, I'll have to proxy to OpsCenter via some other more secure channel and block the direct HTTP-only access.

Just wanted to let you know that the new 2.1 release of OpsCenter does support https. See:
