We are running cassandra on a box with 10 SATA drives. In the cassandra.yaml file, we've listed all the drives as available space, each one is basically a separate mount (.e. /mnt/vol01, mnt/vol02) how does cassandra handle one drive going off line? We've seen that cassandra crashes and want won't start back up and am curious if this is normal. Is there a way to tell it to continue uing the other disks? I mean, ifa single drive fails we should be able to swap the disk and let it rebuild, same as if an entire node went offline.
