Datastax Enterprise version problems

   I just installed Datastax Enterprise cassandra 1.0.3 but when I start it gives the
   following warnings.I cannot get it working properly. I hope someone knows what is going on.
   log4j:WARN No appenders could be found for logger (org.apache.cassandra.service.AbstractCassandraDaemon).
   log4j:WARN Please initialize the log4j system properly.

   Also when I start the client I also get below warnings. I cannot insert data. It returns "null"
   ./cassandra-cli
   SLF4J: Failed to load class "org.slf4j.impl.StaticLoggerBinder".
   SLF4J: Defaulting to no-operation (NOP) logger implementation
   SLF4J: See http://www.slf4j.org/codes.html#StaticLoggerBinder for further details.

   How did you install this (tarball, package, etc) and what operating system?

   Tarball. All work fine and figured the insert problem but still get the annoying warnings.
