Hi there,
Just to clarify, with DSE Search if I ingest data into Cassandra, do I manually create the Solr schema or is the Schema created by DSE?
When you say "Cassandra ingests the data, Solr indexes the data" what do you mean exactly? I assume you mean the mapping between the two happens once we create the Solr schema manually and thereafter DSE takes care of the rest?

When the schema is uploaded into DSE, the associated Cassandra schema is automatically generated.

Yes that is a correct statement, for further demonstration there is the Wikipedia demo, http://www.datastax.com/docs/datastax_enterprise2.0/search/dse_search_start where curl is used to upload the schema.xml file to DSE.
