New to cassandra: increasing number of nodes without regenerating tokens for existing nodes

Hi.

I am not sure if something is wrong if I choose this way to add new nodes to a cluster.

When I will initialize a cluster, I will generate tokens for maximum number of nodes I think I will have, for instance 32. After that I will choose for instance 4 nodes to start up , and in future, when I want to increase, I will just choose another tokens from that list of 32 to setup for additional nodes.
Is it something wrong if I choose this way for increasing the number of nodes in a cassandra cluster?

You should only generate tokens for nodes that are in fact available. The way you are currently set up will force Cassandra to run as if those parts of the ring are failing, which is not a good situation to be in as the "normal" state.
