opscenter agent not working exception in logs

I see the below exceptions in opscenter agent. The agent that is installed where opscenter was installed is working fine. The rest of the agents are reporting this error in the log file.

That error indicates a problem with SSL communcation between the agent and OpsCenter.

How did you install the agents? Manually or using the UI?
Did you disable SSL in the OpsCenter conf?

I did a manual install. I did not disable the ssl. just ran the setup for the agent.
Do I need to disable ssl? If I need to, How would I do that?

Disabling SSL would resolve your issue, however you do not need to disable it. If you do want to disable it, instructions are here: http://www.datastax.com/docs/opscenter/configure/configure_ssl#configuring-ssl

It sounds like there was a problem with the manual install somehow. In each of your agents install directories you should see an 'ssl/' folder. The files in that folder (agentKeyStore*, opscenter*) should correspond to the files in a similar directory for the opscenter daemon install. Can you verify that the ssl files are matching?

I turned of ssl following the documentation and everything seems to work fine

I synced up the agent folder on the opscenter node with all other nodes and ssl is working as well. I think the issue with me trying to use the default agent folder instead of copying from opscenter node

I also had this issue and I had to change the owner of my ssl folder to opscenter-agent, it was previously set to root. e.g.

sudo chown -R opscenter-agent:opscenter-agent /var/lib/opscenter-agent/ssl
