There’s so much Internet FUD out there about NoSQL databases like Cassandra not being ‘safe’ for data because of a supposed lack of support for strong data consistency. That’s why it’s nice to see articles like Jason Brooks recent eWeek article “Does NoSQL Matter for Your Organization?” that actually get the facts right. Brooks gives the straight scoop where Cassandra’s tunable data consistency is concerned and how it works on a per-operation basis.
