Just for Newbies – Introduction to Apache Cassandra White paper (and more)

By Robin SchumacherAugust 14, 2012

One piece of feedback we received on last week’s Cassandra 2012 Summit was that we needed to have a track and/or presentations geared for those of you who are brand new to Apache Cassandra. To be sure, we had lots of great, in-depth talks at the show, but they did require some previous familiarity with Cassandra.

We’ll make sure your feedback gets into our planning for next year’s Summit, but until then, I thought I’d make you aware of a new free resource that you can download and use now. Our new Introduction to Apache Cassandra white paper is written for you tech or IT biz folks who are investigating Cassandra for the first time and trying to figure out if it’s right for you. It gives you a good overview of Cassandra, discusses why it shines and how it performs, and goes over the top use cases that people are using it for today. If you’re new to NoSQL and Cassandra, download it now and give it a read.

Also don’t forget about our other Getting Started resources that include:

If there’s something more we can be doing to help you understand and use Cassandra, don’t hesitate to contact us. Thanks!
