More Free Offerings from DataStax

By Robin SchumacherOctober 16, 2013

Sometimes in life you get what you pay for, but other times you’re able to get a lot for free. Especially when you come to DataStax.

At our Cassandra Summit occurring in London this week, we delivered three news items that should make most everyone who’s working with Cassandra or DataStax Enterprise very happy.

Free Enterprise Database Software

One of our goals at DataStax is to make sophisticated NoSQL software available and affordable to everyone. Our new startups program does just that for companies that are just starting out and don’t have a lot of cash. We’ve designed very generous guidelines for inclusion in the program so that literally everyone can use our DataStax Enterprise platform to power their business with software costs not being a barrier.

Free Developer Software

Our new DataStax DevCenter software provides an outstanding visual query interface for creating and running Cassandra Query Language (CQL) commands against Cassandra and DataStax Enterprise clusters. DevCenter runs on Windows, Mac, and Linux and is available for download now.

Free Training

Our new free online training that starts in November ensures that everyone can get educated and up to speed on how to develop  Cassandra-drive applications. You can learn to to data model, code, and design Cassandra systems via an easy-to-use, self-paced, online format. You can pre-register for online courses now.

At DataStax, we think free is good and I’m sure you do too. We hope you take full advantage of these new free offerings and use them to do great things in your business.
