Comments from Cassandra Users
“When we evaluated open source databases, Cassandra — with its robust architecture and built in multi-DC support — came out on top,” said Jimmy Mårdell, Tech Product Owner, Spotify. “During the four years that we have used Cassandra, we’ve never lost a single bit of data.”
“DemonWare needs availability to run a game like Call of Duty, and Cassandra gets us there,” said Seán O Sullivan, Service Reliability Engineer, DemonWare. “Using Cassandra also means node failures don’t impact users and recovery can be automated, plus the writes are incredibly fast!”
“To handle the critical time-series data associated with our customers’ water distribution network together with our unique ecosystem architecture, Apache Cassandra was leagues ahead of any relational or alternative NoSQL solutions we evaluated,” said Mike Williams, Software and IT Director, i2O Water. “The performance is exceptional and the distributed node-based architecture allows us to grow our cluster in line with our business.”
