Contest runs from 8 AM PT on October 9, 2024 to 11:59 PM PT on October 16, 2024 (“Contest Period”). All dates are subject to change.

Open to legal residents of the 50 U.S. States and the District of Columbia who are 18 years or older. Employees, interns, and contractors of DataStax and its affiliated companies and immediate family members are not eligible to enter the Contest.

How to Enter:

During each day of the Contest Period, respond to the DataStax X or Instagram post with the requested information to enter the Contest and include the hashtag #DataStaxBoDi to enter the Contest. You must include #DataStaxBoDi in order to be eligible to win.

Each submission will be judged by a panel of DataStax’s choosing based on creativity and aforementioned eligibility. All decisions by DataStax are final and binding on all participants.

You may not enter more times than indicated by using multiple accounts, identities or devices in an attempt to circumvent the rules. DataStax reserves the right to disqualify entries that do not comply with these rules.

Winners will be notified via direct message and email. Participants must provide DataStax with a valid email and shipping address in order to receive the prize/swag. Swag is subject to change at any time and at the discretion of DataStax. DataStax will pay for the cost of mailing the prize to the winner. DataStax will determine the method of shipping and the carrier. All costs and expenses associated with prize acceptance and use not specifically provided herein are the responsibility of the winner, including any taxes.

You agree that personal data submitted to DataStax including name, mailing address, phone number, and email address may be collected, processed, stored and otherwise used by DataStax and its affiliates for the purposes of conducting and administering the Contest. By entering the Contest, You agree to the transmission, processing, disclosing and storage of this personal data by DataStax and its affiliates. All personal information that is collected from You is subject to DataStax’s Privacy Policy, located at: http://www.datastax.com/privacy. Publicity

By entering the Contest, you agree and consent to use of your name, social media profile and/or likeness by DataStax. Your entry may also be used for press and media purposes, and you agree to waive any rights and not assert any intellectual property rights that you may have in your entry.

Release and Limitation of Liability: DATASTAX SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY CLAIMS, DEMANDS, DAMAGES OR CAUSES OF ACTION OR ANY COSTS OR EXPENSES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING IN ANY WAY TO THE CONTEST, THE ENTRY, OR ANY PRIZE. BY PARTICIPATING IN THIS CONTEST, YOU HEREBY RELEASE AND DISCHARGE THE DATASTAX ENTITIES FROM ANY AND ALL CLAIMS, DEMANDS, DAMAGES AND CAUSES OF ACTION OF EVERY KIND AND NATURE, IN LAW, EQUITY OR OTHERWISE, KNOWN AND UNKNOWN, SUSPECTED AND UNSUSPECTED, DISCLOSED AND UNDISCLOSED, AND IN PARTICULAR ANY FROM ALL CLAIMS, DEMANDS, DAMAGES AND CAUSES OF ACTION OF EVERY KIND AND NATURE FOR DAMAGES, DIRECT AND INDIRECT, ACTUAL AND CONSEQUENTIAL, PAST, PRESENT, AND FUTURE, ARISING OUT OF, OR IN ANY WAY RELATING THE CONTEST, THE ADMINISTRATION OF THE CONTEST, THE USE OF THE ENTRY, ANY PRIZE AWARDED, THE USE OR MISUSE OF ANY PRIZE, AND ANY PUBLICITY, ADVERTISING OR CONTEST RELATING TO THE CONTEST AND/OR THE PRIZE, AND/OR ACCEPTANCE, POSSESSION, USE, OR MISUSE OF THE PRIZE, AND YOU AGREE TO DEFEND, INDEMNIFY AND HOLD HARMLESS DATASTAX FOR ANY AND ALL CLAIMS, COSTS, LIABILITIES AND DAMAGES RELATED TO OR ARISING OUT OF: (A) THE SUBJECT MATTER OF THESE RELEASES, (B) YOUR LICENSES TO DATASTAX, YOUR WAIVER OF RIGHTS, AND YOUR WARRANTIES REGARDING YOUR ENTRY, AND (C) YOUR PARTICIPATION IN THE CONTEST.

All issues and questions concerning the Contest, shall be governed by the laws of California, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules.
