Greg Sly

SVP Platforms and Infrastructure at Verizon

Greg Sly is a senior technology leader, driving innovation and operational efficiencies with over twenty-seven years of experience in managing and supporting various large technology platforms. As SVP of Platforms and Infrastructure at Verizon, Greg manages data centers, private cloud, NOC, production and corp networking, end user digital experience, and storage & SRE for Verizon and Verizon Media. 

He was also a member of the team that developed the early ITIL documentation that became part of the published standard processes. He manages storage teams that manage one of the largest data footprints in the world (at 2 Exabytes) and data centers that operate the lowest PUE (1.07) in the industry.

Greg has been on the technology side of search, paid advertising and media for over fifteen years. With extensive experience in programming and hardware design, writing and developing code and architectural planning, large scale implementation in finance, accounting, and internet industries, marketplace and business models, and staffing and tax regulations (both in the U.S. and abroad)– he has the capabilities to adapt and grow with technology while focusing on the mobile experience.

Greg previously held VP and Director positions at Yahoo and Intuit. He also holds degrees in computer engineering for both programming and hardware design.
