Mark Hauptman has a diverse background in various roles within finance and business solutions. Mark started their career as an Assistant Manager at CBFC in 1994, where they worked until 1998. In 1998, they became the Director and Managing Partner at Tax & Financial Services Pty Ltd, a position they held until 2009. From there, Mark joined KMH Tax and Business Solutions as a Director, where they have been working since 2009. Most recently, in 2022, Mark was appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of ReelStar.

We have always been looking at bringing something special to market because we want to have something for creators that they're able to use as a useful tool and to engage with their audiences and their fan bases. And then we want something for the users that's going to encourage them to stay on the app and to consume the content and the media content that we're going to have there. What we are looking at is using generative AI. Our data analysis delves deeper into what people are looking at. It is also a part of AI that can be used for other components of our app. And I would talk about restrictions on copyright that are on there as well, and we can have those adaptive tools that are in place to assist us in determining if someone has breached anything from that side.

Things like AI, vector search, and bringing those ready-made products off the shelf to the developers and saying, right, these are some of the other services that we can bring into the app and some of the things that we can use. How can we make the app better by using this? And then we were able to change our development strategy within the app and make the platform with these plugins so much better. The reason that we chose to partner with Astra was primarily because it was a ready-made product which would enable us to enhance the platform and the product that we already had in hand and to make something that was so much better. When we look at it in terms of a ready-made product on the shelf that already has the associated built-in security features that it needs, it's able to use the AI to do the processes that can plug in easily into the app without us having to restructure everything that we're having to do.

One of the biggest problems that we had was latency. And with latency, you don't want something that's glitchy because it's not going to provide that user end experience that you really want. So in bringing the Astra partnership on board, we thought that was one way to solve these issues. And then looking to use generative AI and having real time application of that data was something that was going to assist the developers. So rather than them trying to determine how to press the right buttons and pull the right levers to make it work, we brought a ready-made solution to the table, which made their job that much easier and improved the app.
