SANTA CLARA, Calif. – March 20, 2019 – <a href="https://datastax.com/">DataStax</a>, the leading provider of the active everywhere, hybrid cloud database built on Apache Cassandra™, today announced the inaugural Stax Awards (“Staxies”), to recognize customers that are delivering technology innovation and outsized business results with DataStax. To qualify for the 2019 awards, companies must be active DataStax Enterprise, DataStax Distribution of Apache Cassandra, and/or DataStax Managed Cloud customers.

The deadline for award submissions must be received by April 30, 2019 via the submission form <a href="https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1hlo5AVtBZwiWlQCv47pKskW46MTIUXB8iXAfDBvro24/viewform?ts=5c7d5f44&amp;edit_requested=true">here</a>.

Once the submission window closes, a panel of judges, including: Adrian Bridgwater, Reporter at <a href="http://www.computerweekly.com">Computer Weekly</a>, Ed Targett, Editor at <a href="https://www.cbronline.com/">Computer Business Review</a>, and James E. Curtis, Senior Analyst, Data, AI &amp; Analytics at <a href="https://451research.com/">451 Research</a> will determine a winner and runner-up for each category.

The awards will be presented and publicly announced on May 22 and 23, 2019 at <a href="http://www.datastax.com/accelerate">DataStax Accelerate</a>.

Awards will be given in the following categories:

	<li>The Best Use of DataStax in a Hybrid/Multi-Cloud Environment Award recognizes companies that have deployed DataStax Enterprise across multiple cloud providers or in a hybrid cloud environment.</li>
	<li>The Modern Applications Powered by DataStax Award showcases companies that are building transformative applications—apps that are always-on, contextual, real time, distributed, and scalable—on top of DataStax.</li>
	<li>The Promising Innovation Award highlights customers that are planning innovative projects that fundamentally transform the way their companies leverage data in a mission-critical way.</li>
</ul>

In addition, DataStax will present Partner Awards&nbsp;at DataStax Accelerate. The Partner Awards will be given in three categories: Solution Partner of the Year, Emerging Partner of the Year, and Technology Partner of the Year.
